Open Platform for Creators to Launch Independent Economies with Their Communities

About Rally

Rally is an open platform built on Ethereum that empowers creators, celebrities, and brands to launch their own social tokens, also known as Creator Coins. Rally is governed by its native token, $RLY. Fans can purchase Creator Coins to support their favorite creators and to access special benefits determined by the creator. With Rally, creators can grow their audience, reward fans, and earn more revenue. Most importantly, Rally enables creators to build business models powered by their own custom social token and share an economy with their fans.

Key Highlights

No-Code Token Platform for Easy Adoption What Wordpress did to make HTML usable for website creators, Rally does to make crypto usable for all creators and fans. No code and no cryptic user experience eases onboarding and makes crypto adoption easier for newcomers. Fans can create accounts and purchase creator coins in under 60 secs.

Native Token Design with Network Effects Rally has a multi-token model. $RLY is the underlying governance token for the network on top of which creators can mint unique Creator Coins. As $RLY stakes are required to mint Creator Coins and Creator Coins inherit $RLY’s liquidity, the growth of $RLY and Creator Coins create network effects and build on each other.

Live Community With 10,000+ Users and 80+ Creators The $RLY token is a live, freely traded token. The Rally Network has an existing, engaged community that actively participates in governance. The Rally community proposed, voted, and approved the terms of this $RLY token sale and distribution and CoinList’s facilitation of the sale and distribution. The purpose of the sale and distribution is to further token distribution and network participation, with proceeds to flow directly to the Rally Network community treasury.

FAQ Rally sale and distribution FAQ

$RLY Economics

$RLY is both a governance and functional protocol token that provides automated liquidity and collateral to all Creator Coins on the Rally Network. $RLY tokens can be used to 1. vote on network upgrades and proposals, and 2. stake to mint new Creator Coins and participate in their digital economies.

As all Creator Coins are bonded to $RLY, $RLY represents the value of the entire network as determined by the community. RLY holders should be users of the Rally Network who add to the community and are committed to its future development.

A max supply of 15 billion $RLY has been minted at genesis and will be released over the course of 8 years based on the community’s discretion. Of the 15 billion, less than 30% is allocated to Rally team members and seed investors while the remainder will be allocated to the community.

How Rally Works

Solving the Creator Problem

There is a growing tension between creators and the social media platforms they homestead on. While creators drive all the value and engagement for these platforms, creators face significant issues such as lack of control in fan relationships, poor economics, erratic policy changes, and censorship.

Rally opens up new monetization opportunities for creators, while also creating better alignment with fans by removing gatekeepers. Rally also empowers creators to let fans share in the value being created around a creator’s brand.

Social Tokens

Social tokens - called Creator Coins on Rally - are digital cryptocurrencies that represent the brands of creators, organizations or communities. Creating tokens that encapsulate the interactions within a given community allows for better monetization models and better economic alignment between participants.

Minting on Rally

While minting social tokens on Ethereum has been possible for some time, Rally is designed to solve several fundamental problems that crypto-interested creators face:

• Automated liquidity — Rally’s token bonding curve design pools liquidity across the entire network for any individual Creator Coin, reducing complexity for fans and creators
• Easy fiat on-ramps — Fans, especially those new or unfamiliar with crypto, can enter a Creator’s token community with their credit or debit card in just a few clicks
• Low fees — Rally’s sidechain dramatically lowers transaction and gas fees, making participation appealing and accessible to all for everyday usage, not just crypto whales
• Fair/Programmatic token distribution — Simplified token distribution and balanced model between Creators and fans based on demand and usage
• Network effects — The Community Treasury and Developer Grants can fund the integration of all Creator Coins into new platforms - creators will not need to bear these costs alone
• Network transparency — Rally’s selling restrictions and transparency rules make its creators a self selected group, thereby allowing everyone to trust the system

Use Cases

Reward loyal fans by sending them coins as a “thank you”
Offer exclusive merchandise that fans can purchase using Creator Coin
Charge for exclusive benefits (varies by creator- unreleased content, private communities, backstage access)
Earn weekly network community rewards in the form of $RLY when a creator’s coin economy is highly engaged

Fundraising History

Post Launch

Community Treasury Fundraise

In January 2021, the community approved the Community Treasury Fundraise to support the funding of the community treasury governed by the Rally community. 196,300,538 $RLY were sold for 34,828,450 USDC. The Community Fundraise succeeded in bringing in crypto-enthusiasts interested in network building, governance, staking, and contributing to the long term success of the network as a whole. It also enabled the introduction of the Rally Network to new geographies, such as South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and the United Kingdom.

CoinList Rally Token Sale and Distribution

The CoinList Rally Token Sale and Distribution was proposed and driven by the existing community in the spirit of furthering token distribution and network participation. Token holders proposed, voted on, and approved the sale and distribution, and proceeds will go directly to the Rally community treasury. The community will have full control over the proceeds generated by this sale and distribution. Unlike a traditional financing that benefits a single party, this $RLY fundraise will benefit the decentralized Rally community. By having a larger community treasury, the community can scale the Rally Network and effectuate more developments and engagements.
